Ping Che revisited

IMG_9416.JPG

Do you still remember Ping Che I have introduced before? This is a village with farms situated near to Fanling, one of the town centres in northeastern Hong Kong. It has become special and famous among Hong Kong citizens, as the villagers and citizens are trying their best to make it as a lovely and meaningful place, including continuous artist works everywhere, allowing visitors to write their comments, selling local snacks and vegetables.

My friends who haven't been there took a chance and I revisited there. I do really hope their projects can keep going on! The place can one day be occupied by the government 'for the sake of development'.

Thus the place is always a reminder to Hongkongers that the city should not develop only in the way which the government proposes, and we should not rely on the government to make a liveable city for us as we are already able to do so.
