Blueprint

Aarhus, 2017

A blueprint is a design plan for the future.

Many people suggest planning well for the future. If you regard it as important, you should do more than planning, i.e. blueprint.

As a blueprint is more than a plan. Planning a future is usually referred to the so-called SMART goal with, that is, to have a specific roadmap with detailed timetable which is possible. SMART is too smart since it can reject dreams for individuals and society; ignore other possibilities that we never consider ('unknown unknowns' if you know what I mean); reject things that one should do but which seems difficult / impossible to achieve.

Unable to reach it doesn't mean it will never happen forever. We need to be patient to find out how it works. What we should ask is not whether things can happen but how we make it become a reality!

What is your blueprint?
