Why one-time purchase is always better than subscription on productivity apps?
Now there are three main kinds of productivity apps in terms of business models: totally free, purchase once and subscription. For me, apps with one-time purchase are better than subscriptions.
Sorry, Evernote has not improved.
Evernote was my first note taking app, and after 9-year subscription, I was determined to settle on Apple Notes for at least 3 years. Even though I tried to come back to Evernote, I was always back to Apple Notes.

Why Apple Notes?
I used to be an Evernote user to record my ideas, collect information, writing and figuring out what I should do next (sorry I don’t want to use the term “planning” because I am not filling my schedule and I am a flexible person) until 2020 when they released an unusable update. I am only using an app which is preinstalled on all my devices: Apple Notes.

Is productivity the enemy of creativity? As we know if we can live 80 years, we will have 4,000 weeks. As we ain’t robots, it’s impossible to keep the best performance throughout our life. We, of course, can reach the peak performance, and it’s okay our performance can drop to an unacceptable level.
Apps and me in 2025
Apps are more and more important to everyone's life including creators and artists. While we will need some tools, we may not either need the best, powerful those but it doesn't imply the most minimalistic settings are necessary.
